Diana trained and qualified as a nurse then changed direction into residential social work within a large County Council; from 1987 to 1991 Diana was responsible for the oversight of services for elderly and physically disabled which included the inspection of private and voluntary homes for adults. Between 1991 and 2004 Diana worked both locally and nationally as a regulator of care services for adults and children. From 2004 Diana has been a consultant in health and social care with a varied portfolio that focuses on making improvements to how care is delivered; between 2004 and 2016 Diana was contracted by the Isle of Man Government to work on their Regulation of Care Act, associated Regulations and Care Standards. From 2004 to date Diana is contracted to undertake work with the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian; the Tribunal Judiciary and, through the Association of Independent Visitors (AIVUK), does other contracted pieces of work for the private sector. This work includes capacity assessments, certificate provider for LPA’s, visiting clients on behalf of Professional & Local Authority Deputies.
