The reports we get from AIV are better in every way than anything I have ever received from a GP. As I say to clients, as their title suggests, GPs are ‘general practitioners’ of every type of medicine not just mental capacity. I would always defer to a member of AIV who has the time and specialism to carry out the assessments properly.

We have instructed The Visitor to undertake capacity assessments for many years covering all kinds of issues that arise in property and affairs work, such as capacity to litigate, make substantial gifts, make a will and get divorced. The Visitor has dealt very well with some really complex assessments. Their views are very considered and thorough and they are highly professional.
